Bluetooth Versions
Version 1.1 and earlier
Since the technology of Bluetooth was introduced in
1998, several specification versions have been
released. Versions 1.0 and 1.0B had too many issues
and problems for manufacturers bluetooth phones to develop devices
for Bluetooth. The main issue was the bluetooth lack of
communication among the devices.
The core bluetooth headphones specification version 1.1 is the first
successful operating version of Bluetooth. Version
1.1 corrected a majority of the bugs and problems
found in earlier versions.
Version 1.2
Many of the newer Bluetooth devices, such as the
newer cell phones are being sold with the newer
Bluetooth version 1.2. This version offers backward
compatability with Bluetooth 1.1, faster transmission
speeds bluetooth phones, received signal strength, and a host
controller interface (HCI) support for 3 wire UART.
Bluetooth version 2.0
It's true that there may be multiple communication
technologies bluetooth phones bluetooth headset, although they all share one common
trait - faster is better. Bluetooth specialists
realized this, and therefore worked on improving
the speeds bluetooth phones of version 1.2. The bluetooth phones newest version,
version 2.0 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) was
accounced in 2004 and became available in late
2005.
Version 2.0 delivers data transfer rates of up
to three times that of the original version of
Bluetooth. Version 2.0 also provides enhanced
connectivity. With Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, you'll
be able to run more devices at the same time -
with more efficiency.
Computers and even computer related devices are
expected to be some of the first devices to
encorporate Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, followed of
course by bluetooth headset audio and imaging devices.
Version 2.0 is backward compatible with previous
versions, three times faster, and offers an
enhanced data rate of 2.1 MB a second. It also
offers broadcast and multicast support, along
with a further enhanced bit error rate
performance, making it the best Bluetooth has
ever seen.

Customer Review: Where Are The Bots?
I knew going into this game that there would not be any bots. Unfortunately, when playing offline with a number of others, this becomes a liability, as the maps are too large to afford one to not pilot a Warhawk. Since the controls of the Warhawk don't seem that compelling to me, I'm more likely to jump into a vehicle, but again, with the maps as large as they are, no sooner do you get to an area in offline mode than you realize that the action has now moved to some other location.
If I could take the offline split-screen possibilities of Warhawk and marry them to the graphics, weapons, bots, and vehicles of UT3, I would have the perfect game in every respect. As it is I just have a game that is nothing special when my friends or my sons friends come to visit.
Customer Review: Warhawk for those who have played COD4 first
I have played COD4 since December 2007 and I have to say that it is very addictive and easy to follow. I'm now on the first prestige mode and every time I play I feel very satisfied. However, I always felt that it would have been really fun if you could fly the helicopter or drive a tank in bigger maps. That is when Warhawk comes into place to fill this big gap. Playing Warhawk for the first time can be as frustrating as playing COD4 for the first time. You get kill really fast especially if you are flying a Warhawk, which is an awesome machine that requires you to build some flying skill before you can do something productive. You have to understand that everything in Warhawk is about how much experience you have and how skillful you are as opposed to COD4 where the learning cure is not as high. On the other hand, on foot combat is not as developed as in COD4, where you can chose from lots of weapons and perk combinations. Warhawk on foot combat is limited to a few weapons which are really powerful and fun to use, but not as detailed focus as in COD4. However, flying and driving on Warhawk compensates for that. Another, fascinating part of Warhawk is the type of awards you get during combat. Besides the usual rank levels you can get medals, badges and ribbons, all at different level and of different types. This is really awesome to look at when you are reviewing your personal profile. My final advice would be if you are looking for an instant let's shoot at anything that moves fast and quick shooter then you should stick with COD4, but if you are looking for a challenging online multiplayer game where you have to build skills and learn in order to get the most out of the game then Warhawk is for you!

Wider screen lets you see more of what's around. Compare these actual size views of a 3-inch (diagonal) screen![]() and a 4.3-inch diagonal widescreen ![]() |
The widescreen format gives you 70% more actual screen area than a 3.5-inch screen. Primarily this translates into a better view of the area through which you are driving. This is especially useful in showing you what parks, restaurants, ATM, gas stations, etc. are nearby, or in letting you know whether a detour is a good idea. Also, the device itself is larger, meaning controls on the screen are more widely spaced and somewhat easier to push.
FM Transmitter -- Hear Better, Hear More
Instead of straining your ears to hear turn-by-turn directions or your favorite MP3s, you can enjoy wireless FM audio transmission via the nüvi 660's wireless FM transmitter. Integrated FM Traffic Receiver
![]() | Steer clear of traffic with an integrated FM traffic receiver designed to receive alerts from TMC Clear Channel about traffic tie-ups and road construction that might lie ahead on your route. All you have to do is simply touch the screen to view traffic details and you'll be ready to detour around any problem area. And if you end up missing a turn, or you're forced into a detour that is not relayed through the traffic receiver, the nüvi's sophisticated automatic routing will get you back on track in no time. In most areas, TMC Clear Channel traffic broadcasts are continuous there's no waiting for scheduled traffic news updates or random alerts. Because traffic broadcasts are received via a "silent" FM data channel, you can still listen to music or news programming on your car radio without interference from incoming FM traffic data transmissions. A 3-month subscription to TMC Clear Channel's Total Traffic Network is included with purchase of this device. For more information on subscription fees, coverage in individual cities, and traffic data networks in the United Kingdom and Europe, check the Garmin website. |

Customer Review: Super
Great product at a great price. Garmin web site is top notch with free firmware upgrade.
Customer Review: Good but could have been better
I bought Nuvi 660 a week back and here are my observations:
Pros:
1. Screen is clear and visible, touchscreen works well
2. Voice prompts are good, street names and directions are told much ahead of the turns making it easy to navigate while driving
3. Routes are recalculated quickly once you miss the initial route given by Nuvi
4. Bluetooth option was a good ,I was able to immediately pair it with my LG Chocolate, was able to use Phone book, dial and receieve calls easily
5. Garmin's Speaker and inbuilt mic are decent.Other persons voice on the phone is clearly heard while using bluetooth and the people on the other side never reported problems with my voice going throgh GPS mic.
Cons:
1. The windshield mount and permanent dashboard stick are useless as the mount falls off from the windshield while driving. This a huge risk of damaging the GPS or take away drivers concentration due to the fall-off. Windshield mount causes circular impressions on the windshield and the permanent stick would spoil the dashboard. We need to get a Garmin Portable Friction Mount(Bean bag) which costs an additional $27 which I think should have been included in the box with this GPS.
2. The battery life of the unit is around 2-3 hrs during regular use and need to be switched back to power which will make wires hanging on your dashboard.
3. The leather case provided with the GPS doesnt fit the GPS properly in the sense it is too tight to push and pull the nuvi from the case. Hope the case gets loosened after using it for longer period
Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset with Multipoint Technology [Retail Packaged]
Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset with Multipoint Technology [Retail Packaged]
For the ultimate in wireless freedom, look no further than the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset, which represents a generational leap in Bluetooth headset technology. The 510 is comfortable and light enough for all day wear, and it offers unprecedented clarity and sound quality. These are great features, but the real revolution involves Plantronics' exclusive "Multipoint" technology, which allows the headset to function as a powerful communication solution for up to two Bluetooth devices.
With Multipoint technology you can switch between your voice-enabled Bluetooth mobile phone, PDA or laptop. The headset's "smart" technology knows which device you are using and allows you to take calls from any device at the touch of a button. With the optional Plantronics Bluetooth Deskphone Adapter you can even switch between your office phone and your Bluetooth mobile phone. You'll never need to use a dedicated "landline" phone headset again.
The 510 features a noise-canceling microphone for clearer conversations, and it folds for easy storage. The boom also swivels for perfect positioning on either ear. One-touch call control buttons are placed for easy access, and you can easily redial the last number dialed and initiate voice-activated calls from the headset. Because the 510 is Bluetooth-enabled (it supports the Bluetooth 1.2 specification) you can roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth device. Meanwhile, the 510 supports adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) which helps avoid interference from wi-fi networks. Ample talk time is provided by the built-in rechargeable battery; you'll get up to 6 hours talk time and up to 100 hours of standby time.
Customer Review: Does not cost much and works great!
This is a great earpiece. I use it with my iPhone. Never had a problem!
Customer Review: Very Disappointing
I have had this headset for about a year. During that time, people complain that they can't hear me and ask me to speak up. At the same time, if there is any noise at all around me, it drowns out the incoming audio. From time to time, it randomly disconnects from my Razor V3 for no apparent reason and then will reconnect a few minutes later. If I happen to walk out of the room, out of the headset's range, it will disconnect and to reconnect I have to either turn the headset off and back on or go into the phone's connection menu and repair the phone and the headset. Pony up a little more money and by a Jawbone instead.
